Our Cattle
Based outside of Corvallis, Oregon, our farm is focused on raising the highest quality show steers and heifers for 4-H, FFA, and jackpot exhibitors. We mostly use a purebred cow-base, crossed with some of the winningest show and club calf sires to ever stand in front of a backdrop. Understanding the genetics and how these outcrosses work is why Colson Cattle remain sound, functional, and productive. Our primary breeds are Black Angus, Charolais, Maine-Anjou, and Simmental.
for us, it's not just about sale day. It’s about training and encouraging, supporting, and mentoring. It’s about building a relationship with the people who buy our cattle.
Our goal isn’t only to raise high quality cattle for the showring. We want to invest in the future of agriculture by providing opportunities for youth to be involved in ag in a way they might not otherwise. Our cattle are available for sale or for lease. We want everyone to have the opportunity to show. We are with our buyers every step of the way, as much as they want us to be.

it’s not just about raising quality cattle
Here at Colson Cattle, it’s not only about raising quality cattle. It is important to us to support organizations doing work we believe in. We believe in the future of agriculture and in building leaders within the industry. Advancing T1 diabetes research is also near and dear to our hearts.
At our annual Legends of the Fall Steer & Heifer Sale, we raise funds for three of these organizations: REAL Oregon, Linn Benton Livestock Judging, and JDRF.
